Let's make sure this isn't a password issue. Edit your staff account row in your database with phpMyAdmin. It'll in be the staff table. Replace the "password" and "salt" fields with the output of this tool: https://thehostingtool.com/tools/tht-passgen.php and then try logging in with that password.

I actually did try that already, and it did not work... didn't try with the salt but I tried and it did not work..

It is for sure not a password issue, because if I do type my password wrong, it tells me that I have typed it wrong, also I am 1000000000% sure I did not type the passwords wrong at all because just to try it out I made it really really easy....

It is weird because I just tried my friends server and installed THT no problemo... so it is for sure something with my version of PHP...the updates I have for CentOS5 HostinaBox maybe..maybe Lighttpd..wish I knew what was wrong

Ended up giving up trying to be technical and deal with it.. what I realized is that the OS template I was using (provided by my host), is piss poor old.... literally SOO old...you gotta update Kloxo like 11 times just to get it to the latest one... so what I did was installed a fresh and original copy of CentOS 5, installed Kloxo, fresh...blah blah blah..THT installed great.

Now my only issue is, step #5 that everyone is having issues with.. I have enabled curl in php.ini in /etc/ and in my domain directory .php, aswell as enabled it in Kloxo...

I have also disabled SSL and it is not working still :/

The files I edited for disable_functions were:

/etc/php.ini
/home/httpd/mydomain.com/php.ini

and yes, I did try the testcurl.php that was provided on other topic, and it came back with the right text

If an admin thinks they can fix this send me a PM and I will send you my login details

Just noticed....it keeps SETTING MY disable_functions in ALL 3 PLACES..BACK TO THE DEFAULT ONES!! WHY!! No wonder it isnt working...how ocme it keeps forcing it to the default

curl is working though, http://365networks.net/testcurl.php

I'm wondering if it might be an issue of an illegal character in the username or password. I would use only letters and numbers in the username & password.

I don't know. The username & password are set during the install. Did you try a reinstall with an empty directory and new database, taking care to enter the admin credentials properly?

It could very well be a lighthttpd issue since I've personally never tested THT with it.

It was for sure a Lighttpd issue, because with Apache it installed just fine... I would honestly put that in the readme or something as I couldn't figure it out for quite some time

Thanks for the debugging. It might have something to do with session variables or $_SERVER array.
