Installer
#1
After moving to a new Reseller, I attempted to install THT, and my install paused at the part where you create a Admin. I have tried this several times with same outcome.

It literally freezes.

See attched image

Thanks,

Hmmm.. I think mySQL could time out, what did you use as your SQL host?

I got the same problem here, this is quite annoying because I am planning to release my hosting website soon. I have tried it 3 times and it keeps getting stuck at the creating of staff page. I click that button and it says working...

My MySQL version is: 5.1.30 might help you.

Thanks,
Bob

Thanks, can you tell me, when you go into phpmyadmin, does the database you told it to use have tables in it?

I have created a database on my host for you to try and here is the tht located: http://razor-studios.net/client.

Database Name: zomaian_tht
Database User: zomaian_tht
Password: 123456
Host: localhost

When I run the installation the following databases get created:

tht_acpnav
tht_articles
tht_cats
tht_clientnav
tht_config
tht_navbar
tht_packages
tht_resources
tht_servers
tht_staff
tht_subdomains
tht_supportnav
tht_templates
tht_tickets
tht_users
tht_user_packs

I have also contact my host to see if MySQL is running good and they say it works fine. I have also tried to install other scripts like IP.Board, MyBB, and WordPress and that went fine to. So it has to be THT it self.

Some other detail of my MySQL:
# Server version: 5.1.30
# Protocol version: 10
# Server: Localhost via UNIX socket
# User: zomaian@localhost
# MySQL charset: UTF-8 Unicode (utf8)

I asked you that question because I was trying to figure the problem.

Could you go into the database and look in the staff one. Is there any values in there?

For the staff database their are no tables but the structure is:

id
user
email
name
password
salt
perms
Alright I got it installed....a bit

http://razor-studios.net/client/

now this box pops up and crap and it can't find the locations. Yes I have put in the link got with the / i put in "http://razor-studios.net/client/"

When you click the cancel button of the box about 50 times in a row it dispears
Alright I have fixed half of it. What I have done is edit the link in my MySQL Database. Now the problem is I got to add a admin account manually in the MySQL. Could you send me an example of what you need to add in the staff database?
#8
you would need to manually md5 and salt the password, it would probably be easier to just re-download a fresh copy and re-install, deleting the mysql database and creating a new one.

Well I have already tried that for mmm 12 TIMES. The whole point of this is that the fourth step doesnt work for my database. This means that I have to manually change the link in the database and add a staff acount. I am asking if someone can send me the staff database.sql with an account on it and tell me the password of it so i can add that in my database.

Alright I figured out how to fill it in but what value do i write for salt and perm?
#10
The salt is just MD5. That means you can use PHPMYADMIN to just enter the pass you wish then slect MD% in the dropdown menu on the left next to it.

The perms just set as 1 (i think) Smile

Hope it helps
