  How to get Support?
Posted by: Kevin - 07-15-2009, 03:46 PM - Forum: News & Updates - Replies (1)

There are two different ways of getting support. And there are also some ways to NOT get support for THT.

The fastest way to get support is to go to #tht on the freenode IRC Network. I'm almost always there and usually the rest of the team is there too. The second way is to post right in the forums as many of you have already done so.

Now how shouldn't you go about getting support? If you use one of the above methods please be respectful and polite. Please do not PM any member of the development team for support.

PS: We're currently working on a way so that you can receive live support directly in your browser. Wink

  THT Release Tracker Created
Posted by: Nick - 07-11-2009, 02:05 PM - Forum: News & Updates - No Replies

We Now have a release tracker to help keep you informed about the progress of THT. Becuase the current development team picked up partway through 1.2, it currently only contains the todo of things since we started, but it will be loss akward for the next release.

View it here: http://thehostingtool.com/site/tracker.html

Please keep in mind that Paid hosting is around 50% of what is left to do for 1.2

**IMPORTANT** ALL THT USERS READ THIS
Posted by: Nick - 07-04-2009, 08:58 AM - Forum: News & Updates - Replies (8)

Well, as you know Jonny has been very busy with his personal life and has been unable to develop THT. This, combined with several other factors, has led THT to fall into stagnant undevelopment. However, i am pleased to announce that this will happen no longer. THT has a new development team, and we aim to bring you Version 1.2 ASAP. Lets take a run-down of the development team:
Nick: Project Manager
Jimmie: Lead Developer
Kevin M: Developer

Together me and Jimmie will be leading the Development of THT. After 1.2, we hope to build up a Development team that will bring you fast results and great support. Our First priority, however is to bring you 1.2 in fully working condition. We will work our hardest to bring THT back to the way you loved it, only with more features & reliability than ever.

Thanks for your support everyone.

They may be some problems with myBB, if any are found. Contact me ASAP.

  New Developer - Rich!
Posted by: Rich - 04-20-2009, 04:29 AM - Forum: News & Updates - Replies (5)

Hello Everyone,

I have to say, it’s great to have been added to the development team here at The Hosting Tool, it's an amazing project that I’m glad I can be a part of.

For those of you who do not know me - My name is Richard (Rich), I’m a PHP developer of 4 years, and I have joined THT as temporary lead developer until such a time as Jonny is able to return to take that job (he’s VERY busy at the moment), and at that time, I hope I will be able to stay as an extra programmer to this fine system.

I will be starting development of 1.2 on Wednesday, after I have familiarised myself with the code of THT, and hope to make a quick turn over of the new version - I know how long some of you have been waiting.

If anyone has any questions, please feel free to ask.

With Regards,
Rich

  Unlimited Quotas
Posted by: Jonny - 04-18-2009, 06:42 PM - Forum: News & Updates - Replies (3)

There has been a couple of people who have reported about unlimited quotas on packages. I'm suspecting this is because WHM has changed some variables for the package names. I'll look into this.

Thanks,
Jonny

As the title simply explains. Downloads are fixed. Any more problems and make a general support thread.

Thanks for using THT.

Thanks,

  Wondering where I am?
Posted by: Jonny - 03-14-2009, 06:02 AM - Forum: News & Updates - Replies (6)

Hey guys,
Thought I'd take the time I have to update the community here.

I haven't been on much at all in the past weeks. That's because I simply don't have the time. I'm working, college, girlfriends and then doing music. I literally only get on the computer each day for around a hour or so.

Got any questions, hit a reply here.

Sorry,
Jonny

  **IMPORTANT** Post2Host Check
Posted by: Jonny - 02-10-2009, 05:47 AM - Forum: News & Updates - Replies (11)

Notice your P2H didn't check after the new year? Yes, so did I.

This is because after the new year, the p2hcheck value in the config didn't get reset to 1.

To fix this for february.

  1. Log into your mySQL DB Manager (phpMyAdmin)
  2. Select your THT Database
  3. Click the little structure icon next to the table config
  4. Scroll down to the value `p2hcheck`
  5. Click the pencil and edit that value to 1

Sorry about this. Your cron should run normal for the next months. A patch will be released soon.

  Suggestions needed for Packages Redesign
Posted by: Jonny - 02-07-2009, 09:39 AM - Forum: News & Updates - Replies (2)

After I've recieved critiscm with how THT ACP looks like my previous work, I've decided to re-design the packages area with my newly formed AJAX flare. Overall, my ideas are simple. If you've used the knowledge base area, it will follow those lines. It will have full AJAX Creating, Editing, Deleting.

Any other ideas folks?

I can confirm, even though my previous suggestions. Forced Ads WILL NOT be in 1.2 due to time restraints.
