Time between posting and account creation
Hello,
Is it possible to have a period of time between verifying member posts and account creation.. To prevent people from spamming and immediatly requesting a hosting account |

RE: Time between posting and account creation
Unfortunately, this feature isn't available in 1.1.2 or in the upcoming 1.2. However, we do plan to implement this type of feature in an upcoming release.
Until then, you can manually approve account creations as a workaround. Kevin Mark - TheHostingTool Lead Developer |

RE: Time between posting and account creation
the script still manually creates the accounts and checks that the posts are made, you just click a button that says "approve".

RE: Time between posting and account creation
There IS a flaw, yes. If the user spams the forum with millions of pointless posts every month to pay for the hosting, you would have to terminate the THT account manually. Its not really possible to avoid this completely, there will always be someone which wants to spam and tamper with the p2h system.

RE: Time between posting and account creation
I think what this needs is a delay. Of at least two hours or so.
So if the post is made in the last two hours then it does not count. |
